On the tech side of things, T-Mobile took some hits for not patching a security flaw in its systems that allowed someone to hack into Paris Hilton's account. The hacker then posted all of the information stored at the server for Hilton's Sidekick II cell phone/PDA (T-Mobile's version of the Danger HipTop 2).
Lots of geek press wrote follow up articles on how to prevent from being hacked, etc. And you would think T-Mobile would take a beating in terms of new subscribers but that's not true.
In spite of the negative press, TechNewsWorld reported that New York City stores are selling out of the SideKick II. Maybe T-Mobile should do some ads with Hilton.
This smartphone has received lots of good reviews and I wish Danger would make a version for Verizon Wireless.
